Yesterday we received a much-anticipated email from GlobalGiving confirming that Action Two Africa’s application to join the GlobalGiving’s community had been accepted. This is a huge step for us as we are now eligible to participate in the June 2014 Global Open Challenge.
What does this mean? Starting June 1st, we need to raise at least $5,000 from 40 unique donors in just 30 days. If we’re successful in this endeavor, Action Two Africa will be invited to become long-term members of the GlobalGiving community. This means being able to utilize all of GlobalGiving’s online fundraising resources to raise money and organize donors for our future work in supporting the youth in and around the Kiambiu community.
This is going to be a huge challenge, but we have seen God’s provision for this organization come through again and again and we trust that he will continue to provide for all our needs.
