History has shown that when children are not in school, problems bigger than just a lack of education arise. Many children who cannot afford school fees end up on the streets engaging in drug use, becoming victims of sex trafficking, or getting pregnant at a young age: these are just a few of the byproducts of when children are not in school and able to thrive in supportive environments.

Our strategy is to start small, focusing on one community at a time. Our previous work focused on working with vulnerable children and families in Kiambiu, but currently, we have shifted our focus to working with children and families in Bungoma, Kenya.  We believe that the key to wiping out poverty is to focus on educating the community’s young people, providing support and mentorship, and by empowering families through sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities.
